Thread Painting

A simple design, a few spools of thread and a willingness to learn are all that is required to be successful in this workshop. This workshop is a great way to ease into thread painting and learn the basics – a good refresher if you have already taken a workshop. It’s fun and addictive.
The registration fee covers the instructors fee, a single panel to thread paint (you'll get to choose the panel you want), canvas background and five spools of embroidery thread.
Materials Included: | Fabric panel to paint (you get to select from six options), canvas stabilizer, five spools of thread. |
Requirements: | Machine with the ability to drop the feed dogs. Bernina 24 foot or something similar for their type of machine. MICROTEX 80/12 needle (one packet) Light cotton batting to go under the entire panel Muslin to go under the entire panel. 505 spray to secure all of these layers together A few safety pins to help secure the layers. A lightweight bobbin thread, 50 or 60 weight. Bobbin thread that you might use for embroidery work. A phone or camera to take a picture of the panel before stitching. Thread snips. Machingers, palm pads, something to help you move the fabric under the needle. |
