Folded Ornaments
Learn this folded fabric technique to make these adorable artichoke style ornament. Two contrasting fabrics make these ornaments sparkle.
| Requirements: | • (300) 1 1/16” straight pins, flat head • Two fat quarters of fabric, cut into 2” squares These should be contrasting color so you can easily tell the difference. They do NOT need to be plain fabric. • One 3” Styrofoam ball a slightly smaller ball will work. This should be to more porous Styrofoam, NOT the smooth Styrofoam • ¼” and/or 1/8” ribbon, 2 colors about 3 yd. each • 1 yd. Braid for hanger, can use a piece of ribbon, if you desire a short hanger then less braid is needed. • 2 Small Bells Thimble (prefer a metal thimble and not a leather) Scissors Glass to hold ball, shot glass works great (If you don’t have this it is very doable without it.) |
